The Nords are the closest living relatives to the Atmorans though, and aren't exactly dissimilar. The name changed, the Atmorans living in Slyrim didn't too much, it was the ones in Cyrodiil that did. That might have been part of the reason for the name change, aside from then not living in Atmora for a while.
